Our Top Three RV Trends for 2021

No one could have predicted 2020, so what will happen 2021? The COVID-19 pandemic has changed life as we know it, but we believe that people still want to travel. The RV industry is resilient, and we think that 2021 will be the year of the RV! The Oaks at Zephyrhills is a Good-Sam certified, family owned and operated RV and mobile home senior community (55+) in Zephyrhills, Florida. Here are our top three predictions for the 2021 camping season:

1. More people will want to travel.

After months of quarantine, it makes sense that people are ready for a change of scenery. But cruises are docked, and many travel restrictions are still in place. So, we think that more people will hit the road – in an RV!

The pandemic raises concerns about sharing close spaces (like in airplanes) and having interactions with strangers (like in crowded hotels) when travelling. RVs offer a great solution, allowing you to travel with your own private living space! In an RV, you can experience the freedom of the road, while maintaining social distance and minimizing your COVID risk.

In fact, a recent survey of 1,000 travelers, more than half of the respondents (57 percent) said that RV travel is more appealing as a result of the pandemic and the majority also planned to rent an RV in 2021.

2. More RVers will be “working from the road.”

We think that more jobs moving to virtual platforms will also lead to more people to choosing the RV lifestyle. If you can work wherever you open your laptop, why not work from the road? Free high-speed Internet is a popular amenity at The Oaks of Zephyrhills, allowing you to connect to the office while keeping your costs down.

Adding in the rising popularity of budget-friendly tiny homes, making an RV your permanent residence can help make your paycheck stretch even further. RV sales have been increasing during the pandemic, as people look to leave COVID hot spots and major city centers for less populated areas. Zephyrhills, which is located between Orlando and Tampa in the pastoral landscape of Central Florida, offers that small town environment (and reduced virus exposure) that many are seeking!

3. Parks and campgrounds will be booked out by February 2021.

Already in high demand, we anticipate that The Oaks at Zephyrhills – and others in the area – will book up earlier than usual in 2021. The Oaks at Zephyrhills features 75+ lots, studios, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom units in a nearly 10-acre park, and each spacious lot has a gorgeous view of majestic oak trees.

While campgrounds typically experience their busy season in March and April, we believe that it will start in February this year! So, if you’re planning to travel to Zephyrhills and stay at The Oaks, contact us to book now!

While we certainly hope that the pandemic will fade in 2021, there definitely will be lasting effects. We all have felt anxiety around safety, which is why The Oaks at Zephyrhills remains committed to creating a sanitary and secure place for you to stay with on-site management you can trust. Enhanced sanitation procedures are in place to keep all residents and guests safe. At The Oaks, you’ll find tidy landscaping, well-lit streets, clean facilities, and a welcoming community.
